Emergency procedures
Action
Do not use water. Avoid all sources of ignition (e.g. naked lights, unprotected light bulbs, electric handtools).
Spillage on deck
Smother spillage with DRY inert material, collect and dispose of overboard in a safe manner.
Spillage under deck
Not applicable.
Fire on deck
Substances may burn fiercely. For small fires use dry chemicals. For larger fires smother with DRY inert material, collect and dispose of overboard in a safe manner. If possible remove receptacles likely to be involved.

Not applicable.
Special equipment to be carried
Protective clothing (gloves, boots, coveralls, headgear).
Self-contained breathing apparatus.
DRY inert material (e.g. diatomaceous earth) to be maintained as dry as possible in a suitable stow.
